Water intrusion into piping sumps located on the top of buried fuel
tanks is one of the most aggravating and costly maintenance problems
facing motor fuel marketers both domestically and world wide. Not only
is the removal of the water costly, the presence of water indicates that
the secondary containment system may not be able to contain a leak
should one occur. This will become even more important to the marketer
once CARB institutes the new ISD regulations. In which all alarms must
be monitored, repaired and reported promptly.
The benefits to this system are; all work is done form inside the tank or dispenser sump to repair leaking bulkheads/entry fittings, compression and snap seals and grommets. Repair boots can be attached to a tank or dispenser sump without breaking product or vapor and without breaking any concrete. |
